Blue Glue Pty Ltd ACN 105 811 372 (‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’, ‘ours’ or ‘BG’) is committed to protecting your privacy.

This privacy policy tells you how we collect, store, use and disclose your personal information. We encourage you to read this policy carefully so that you understand our information handling practices.

Website

Like most website operators, BG collects non-personally identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how BG’s users use its website. The information collected will also help us trouble-shoot problems, analyse our resources and improve our services.

We do not use this technology to access any personal information as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) of a user in our records and a user cannot be personally identified.

Information we collect

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

  • Your name;
  • Phone number;
  • Your employer;
  • Email address;
  • Training documentation, competencies and qualifications;
  • Insurance coverage including currency of coverage; and
  • Emergency contact details.

BG will never collect personal information and sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) without you having accepted BG’s Terms and Conditions.

How we collect personal information

Generally, we collect your personal information when you are invited by our Client to register your profile on our Contractor Competency System (CCS). Occasionally, we may collect personal information from someone other than yourself but someone who has the authority to provide us with your information i.e. your employer or authorised personnel.

How we hold personal information

We take all reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information which we hold about you and to protect your personal information from loss, misuse or unauthorised alteration. Any personal information you provide to us is stored on secure servers.

To help us protect your privacy, you should maintain the strict secrecy of your username and password.

Although, we aim to create a safe and secure environment, we cannot guarantee that unauthorised parties will not gain access. We will not have any liability arising from any unauthorised access to your personal information.

Purpose of collection and holding of personal information

In respect of information you have registered on the CCS, BG develops and collects information about you for four (4) reasons, namely to:

  1. Consider Contractors on potential jobs Clients are managing;
  2. Permit Contractors authorised access to Client sites;
  3. Provide Contractor’s emergency contact information to the Client for first aid purposes; and
  4. Deliver rectifications of any support request initiated by our Clients.

In each case, BG only collects information insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfil the purposes above. You can always refuse to supply personal information, however, refusing to do so, may result in you not being able to access the CCS and or the Client sites using the BG access control system known as the National Safety System (NSS).

Use and disclosure of personal information

We use and disclose the personal information we collect:

  • for the primary purpose for which it is collected as set out above;
  • for reasonably expected secondary purposes which are related to the primary purpose (and in the case of sensitive information, directly related to the primary purpose), and in any other circumstances authorised by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

You consent to us using and disclosing your personal information in any manner that could reasonably be contemplated by this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.

Access

If at any time you want to know what personal information we hold about you, you are welcome to request access to that information by contacting us, using the details listed below. However, where:

  • the access impacts on the privacy of others;
  • the request for access is frivolous or vexatious;
  • there are existing or anticipated legal proceedings; or
  • such access can be denied under law by a law enforcement agency,

we may deny your request for access.

If we deny your request for access, we will let you know why.

We may also charge you a fee to cover the reasonable costs we incur in processing your request.

You may also contact your own BG authorised administrator at your place of employment.

Quality & correction

We will strive to ensure that the information held on our CCS is accurate and up-to-date. If the information is inaccurate, not up-to-date, not complete, not relevant or misleading, you should let us know and we will take all reasonable steps to correct the information. In addition, you may also contact your own BG authorised administrator at your place of employment.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

Although most changes are likely to be minor, we may change our Privacy Policy from time to time, and in our sole discretion. We encourage users to frequently check this page for any changes to our Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this website and our CCS after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.

Complaints

If you feel that we have breached your privacy rights in any way, or you would like to discuss any issues about our Privacy Policy, please contact us on ccs.support@blueglue.com.au.

All such enquiries or complaints will be taken seriously and will be handled as soon as is reasonably practicable.

Disclosure to overseas recipients

We are unlikely to disclose your personal information to recipients located overseas.
